Mending the Mind and Tending the Soul therapy group for women: The primary purpose of this group is to help women balance self care and life management. We will review meditation strategies to quiet the mind, self-care strategies to tend to the soul, and life management strategies to create the meaningful lives that we want.
Cost: $240 for 6 sessions ($40 per session)

What's the difference between a workshop and a therapy group?
The short answer: time, depth, and level of commitment.
Balanced and Whole Living therapy groups run for at least six weeks. The goal is to create a safe atmosphere for group members to explore their lives and their coping skills as they work through identified issues. Participants will work with specific goals in mind as they support each other. Peg facilitates and guides the group, providing psychoeducational information as it pertains to group issues and goals. Therapy groups require a commitment to attendance, confidentiality, and an open mind and heart.
Balanced and Whole Living workshops are one-time, two- to four-hour interactive classes that allow people to reflect on paper and (optionally!) out loud about themselves and to learn skills and solutions to help them live a balanced, whole life. These workshops are conducted at our wellness center AND can be conducted at places of employment.
Balanced and Whole Living workshops are designed to give you tools that you can use to achieve a more balanced and whole life. Each workshop includes some presentation of information, personal assessment tools, optional sharing, and reflection in a safe and supportive atmosphere.
The workshops are NOT therapy – they are interactive, fun classes that can lead to self improvement. Each workshop includes:

Mindfulness Meditation workshop: Explore some of the basics of mindfulness meditation while practicing various techniques. We will review postures, breathing exercises, mind quieting, and sensory meditations.
Cost: $15 for a two-hour workshop
Stress Busting workshop: Explore some basics of stress management while practicing some techniques that will combat stress and promote a healthier lifestyle. We will review relaxation strategies, coping methods, and have a chance to examine what works well in our lives and what we would like to improve upon to reduce our stress level.
Cost: $15 for a two-hour workshop
Thriving Beyond Survival therapy group for women: The primary purpose of this group is to promote support and healing among survivors of childhood abuse.
Participants will:
- Explore their strengths and healing progress;
- Recognize and resolve past pain;
- Share abuse and recovery experiences;
- Receive support and affirmation of recovery efforts;
- Gain a sense of confidence and personal responsibility for healing and living.
Objectives for this group include:
- Developing inner resources
- Developing a positive and healthy attitude toward yourself and life
- Increased feelings of safety
Each participant has a pre-therapy meeting with me to determine whether this group is something that seems appropriate and suitable.
Cost: $480 for 12 sessions ($40 per session)
